Today we saw an older Excel being pulled by a gray Dodge truck going eastbound on I-10 at the Alambama/Mississippi border about noon. They flashed lights and waved! Anyone know who it was?

Went out joy riding today trying to burn off some of this cheap diesel fuel....anyhow ran accross a 2000 Excel Classic 33 in Gulf Shores State Park. Tom and Carmin were the very nice owners. We talked and of course, I mention this forum and he invited me in to watch him pull it up on his laptop. This is their second Excel and bought it new! This unit looks brand new inside! Hope to see Tom on here real soon! Welcome into the fun zone! Tom

Walking around the Flamingo Lake RV Resort in Jacksonville, FL today and ran across the only other Excel in the park. A '94 Knoble Esquire Limited Edition! Talk to Sharon, the owner, she and her husband live in the park fulltime as he is still working. She was headed out to an engagement, but would come see us tomorrow. She said they purchased it used and refurbished the coach throughout. She loves her Excel. More info as I get it.

As we were leaving the Flamingo Lake RV Resort in north Jacksonville, FL, yesterday, we saw a very old Excel with aluminum siding. Must have been a '87 or '88 model and come in the night before as I didn't see it on my walk around the park the day before. It appeared to be in nice shape for a unit that old. Kinda wished I would have stopped and taken a pic of it! Tom

I spotted three Excels today! Well, actually I spotted the same rig three times.

We pulled into a Flying J at rt 285 and Interstate 20 today in Pecos TX, and parked right next to a white Dodge dually pulling what looked like an RT with rear kitchen (saw no one, so we went inside the Flying J) When we came back out to our rig, they were gone.

About 20 miles further north on rt285, we pass the same rig at pulled off at one of those Texas picnic stops. He was pulling back onto the road as we passed, so for 20-30 miles we had us a convoy!

We pulled off rt 285 to make some phone calls, and he passed by us a few minutes later. Not sure where he went when he reached Carlsbad, but I know he isn't here with us in the Brantley Lake state park.

Saw an Excel at Ruby's Inn outside Bryce Canyon NP today, with an F450 tow vehicle. Maybe 35' since it had no model number on it.

I thought of waiting till they showed up, hoping they would go back into the restaurant to buy us dinner Hungry, but we couldn't wait that long.

Isn't that the purpose of this discussion, i.e. how many free meals you can get from a sighting?

We are overnighting at Cozy Acres near Richmond, VA. Near us is a 33TKE but no one is around. It appears to be set up for seasonal use. VA tags.

Guess we shoulda stopped by and said hello.. we were staying at Cozy Acres in a Cedar Creek being pulled by a gray Dodge from May 10-15th.. had just came down from Gettysburg and was laying over to see family in and around Richmond on our way back to Alabama... As you, we never saw anyone around that 33TKE with VA plates the entire time we were there..
