The A/C unit on our 5er is 13'4" on level concrete hooked to the truck. That distance changes quickly in small clearance situations. The Federal Highway Administration says to allow + - 6" for pavement variations for marked bridges.
Then there is always the road cut under the grade-level RR tracks, where the concave dip reduces the clearance, especially for long vehicle combinations.

Remain laidback and unruffled, camping is great!

NBC picked it up and ran it last night on the evening news, saw it again this morning on ABC news. They used the same video clip linked here.

Heres the article that was on Good Morning America.

Bringing Down the Bank
http://abcnews.go.com/Video/playerIndex?id=5392949

They had a interview with the customer. One thing that I seen, is that if it was a New Unit, Keystone would void the warranty on any frame issues (before the accident) because they had a Goose Neck Adapter Installed on the unit. Keystone/Lippert considers that a Frame Modication and voids any warranties related to the frame or structure of the unit.
