Hi We have a 1996 Winnie Adventurer 34RQ on an F-53 chassis A few weeks ago I insulated the motor cover, I bought what is called Thermal-Acoustic Insulation, its about 1/4" thick it is a felt like material with foil on 1 side.I fastened it with spray adhesive,FOIL side to the heat, spray the felt side of the insulation and the cover both and stick it on.WHAT a difference it makes, and with the leftover piece I made 2 floor mats with some other carpet picies I had (I don't throw much away)and glued the insulation to them. The only thing with the mats the foil side slides,so i put a couple of strips of double faced carpet tape, the passenger is locked in between the dash and seat frame. Thanks for the info on the motor cover. I had mine off a couple weeks ago changing air filter and noticed mine was looking pretty bad(1995 holiday rambler 460 ford). Where did u buy it and how much? Does it come in a roll? thanks.
Hi It came in a 4'x6' roll, I bought it at Tom Schaffer RV on rt.61 north of Reading PA,it was $40.00 for the roll.I think JC Whittney has it.There were some other post on where you can get the insulation.Try on the Find bar at top of page and enter "motor cover insulation" I hope thats the way to do it,I'm not a computer whizz. I hope that helps you Rick & Robin
