Mike, I like to tease Driver as he's a good sport, had the pleasure of briefly meeting him at the Perry GA FMCA convention this past March while he was perched on one of those UFO chassis. He's an OK fellow even though he's a Workhorse fan, won't hold that against him--LOL Big Grin

I too like to try to keep this forum on an even slant, and there fore I expressed my concern that the above noted Ford Press Release never made it onto the proper site here. After writing about this concern was happy to see that Warpath created the post with the Ford news.
Surprisingly within 24 hours it had disappeared behind a press release from Winnebago which had no date attached to it.
May be I am paranoid?
Also we thank ??? Driver for his comments about no one available at Ford on Friday December 28 to answer a technical question.

If I had to make a choice between a Ford 26,000 lb. F-53 and a Workhorse W-25.5 w/8.1 Vortec & 6 speed Allison, I would go with the W-25.5. JMHO, Bagman57.

Your choice Chuck, I'll stick with the Ford, ours is now 8 years old with 58k miles and nary a problem.

Cheers, Jim

P.S. Just talked to Tntman a few days ago, & they were headed to GA.

We ordered a new Monaco Monarch 3/1/08. I had the choice of the WH or Ford chassis. I selected the Ford mostly because I couldn't digest the thought of owning another GM related product. My bloodpressure goes up everytime I think about taking my previous GM vehicles to the shop for warranty repairs.

The heavyduty front track bar, Bilstein shocks, front and rear disk brakes, 4 wheel ABS, tranny temp guage, more horsepower, and torque-shift tranny with tow/haul mode on the Ford didn't hurt either.
