Wind came up, dislocated non-operative end of awning as it blew it over the coach, disconnecting the connection in the head and possibly bending the inserted channel of the assembly. Tried to reconnect all and it would not stay in a permanent position, so we secured it back to the coach, heading back to Florida and would like advice on how to resolve.

Roy and Kathy, first let me welcome you to iRV2.com. We are glad to have you join us here and we look forward to reading of your adventures and experiences. SOrry to hear of the wind damaged awning. Are you able to take any photos of the issue? The left hand end has a spring that may have unwound as well. Do you have an exploded view of the awning in your owners manual? Let us know when you get back and can work or have work performed on the awning.

I am going to made the minor repairs that always need to be done after a trip. We traded in a 5th wheel in for the 38' moterhome and we love it. Will keep you informed on the awning. |
