I would rather sit outside on the ground next to my coach UNDER the awning. Smile

If I had the nice concrete patio & grass on my campsite that's shown on that magazine cover shot, why the heck would I need a "veranda"? The idea of it would've been better had they shown mud under there Smile. But, then, that wouldn't have made a good cover shot.

DH also pointed out that it looks barely wide enough for a camp chair. let alone the camp chair with the table attached like a lot of us have. If more than 1 person wanted to watch the TV, they'd have to line up chairs one behind the other in a column - who would want that?

I guess, to each his own. Someone will buy this coach for that feature....just not me.

I didn't see a price listed for all this outdoor living. All they said was there were various floor plans available. Anyone?

Like it or not, folks, it is the kind of creativity that the industry needs. If a thousand folks buy it just for tailgaiting in style, then the industry remains solid. I hope it will catch on, because the other brands will take a few more risks too! Alfa Leisure also pushed the envelope with some of their designs, they just couldn't get the fit/finish/reliability issue worked out. Tour Master is also trying to mix things up a bit. I applaud the attempts! Good Job

Not necessarily a new idea. This photo was published in a 1909 edition of Motor Magazine. (That's Monaco Mama's great great grandmother, there on the left. Wink)

The new CC is an interesting design, but I agree that I wouldn't want to give up the inside wall space. Also, the storage compartments underneath would be almost impossible to get to with that veranda down.

HighwayRanger's point, however, is well taken.

Robin...Actually it is the one in the middle. I have photos of my Mom when she was younger...that you would swear is the spitting image of the lady in the middle. Nod

I am going to say that the veranda takes place of the slide that would normally be there...

Still innovative by today's standards. Will watch this development closely as it gets more air-time.
Love the overall concept. A Mid-coach "deck" would work well at some of my favorite boondocking locations.
You have to realize that seamless indoor-to-outdoor transition is quite desirable to a lot of RV'ers. Love the way that the kitchen is so "open".
Like the ol' TV show "Green Acres" says, "you can keep Park Avenue, just give me the fresh air...
This baby will turn heads at any venue.
