We leave ours plugged in all the time and rear levelers down as we have it parked on our driveway with an incline. You should check the water level in your batteries every couple of weeks, especially if weather is hot.

Leaving the coach plugged in and charing safely will depend on the type of charging system you have on board. An inverter with a three stage charger or three stage charger is the best and will not cause an overcharging problem with good batteries properly maintained.
Leaving the levelers down is not a problem as long as again you maintain them. Spray them down with a dry silicone when extended and if dirty wipe them off before retracting.
Good luck and keep us posted.

Our 5th wheel stays plugged in 24/7 while in covered storage. It does, however, have a Progressive Dynamics PD9180 power converter with the Charge Wizard, so I only have to add water to the batteries about every 6 months. Without a similarly high-tech converter/inverter (whatever handles your battery charging duties), you run the risk of boiling the batteries dry in pretty short order, especially in the summer heat.

Like others have posted, my coach is connected to shore power, when not moving. The pad next to my house is dead level, so my jacks remain retracted. Otherwise the jacks are down for stability and keeping the coach level. If the jacks begin to take a long time to retract, spray them with the lubricant of your choice. Per HWH, do not wipe the cylinders. Just spray them and retract the jacks.

Shore power hooked up, jacks down (driveway not level), fridge on, one AC on for heat and humidity control, small fan in the bedroom to help circulate the air.

Jayson -- It might help if we knew what year, make & model of RV you have...

When "storing" our RV, we always put the leveling jacks down, park the tires on vapor barriers if parked on concrete, and cover the tires. All three of those items are done to prolong the life of the tires. Based on recommendation of an HWH tech, we have never lubricated or wiped down our jack pistons.

If we had power in storage, the coach would be plugged in and refrigerator running, roof vents open slightly or set on thermostat (We do have a 3-stage charger that would not overcharge the batteries, and we have vent covers).

jayson, adding info to your signature sounds hard, but it isn't. Click on "Go" at the top of the page, click "Personal Zone," then "Profile." When your profile comes up, click "View/Edit Complete Profile" at the top right. Scroll down about half way and add any info you want to the section that says "Signature."
