I have been a long time user of both IRV2 as well as Yahoo Groups and about a year ago I also tried RVLivin. IRV2 and RVLivin are nearly the same. They are a very open discussion group and a great social group access. However, what they do lack is the ability to organize, upload and save data files, photos, create databases and take a poll. Yes, they do have photo storeage but you are unable to create your own unique folder for organization. You are totally dependent on the IRV2 forum manager.
I find that the format at Yahoo is, while not the best, is far better suited for a Country Coach focus group. There are many great posts on IRV2 and there is a wealth of knowledge here by many contributors. I often read many of the IRV2 posts that are about the common systems to gain further insite to our complex home on wheels. While I am not discouraging anyone to use IRV2 as an supplemental source of information, I for one will continue to support the Yahoo Groups site as my primary source for Country Coach specific discussion. I will also offer any information and assistance where I can here on IRV2. If I know of a topic that was discussed or file posted on the Yahoo Groups site, I will refer to that site for more information. Thanks for the input. As anything diversity is good. As we don't look to replace any other forum we do believe that this is a great site and easy to use and refer back on previous topics. I find yahoo a much hard forum to follow, yet a good source of info. We appreciate your input and welcome all your future comments and wisdom. Thanks and Happy RV-ing Ron
