We both retire at the end of May and plan on purchasing a RV for fulltiming. It will be our first MH. At present CC and Tiffin are on our short list. We are looking at CC Inspires either '05 or '06 and new Tiffin Phaetons. Still trying to decide.

Our first dp was a 2001 Phaeton. We moved from that to a Beaver Monterey and then to our present coach a CC Intrigue. We find the Intrigue to be the most comfortable for living when parked and also when driving down the road.

Ron, Last Sept. when I purchased my Alpine Apex, you were telling everybody how wonderful the Alpine Coaches were. Now here you are selling Country Coach.

I am in the process of trading my Apex for a 2001 CC Affinity. Got really tired of working on the Apex every time I used it. Now, as you know, WRV is gone and I want to have a coach that still has a factory behind it. Hope I made a smart move.

For those of you concerned about service for your CC or sob, look into Oregon Motorcoach Center in Eugene. This is a new endeavor for Bob Lee. We have our coach there for a new radiator, a slide adjustment and some other minor details that we want addressed before we take off for an Alaska trip next spring. We will be picking the coach up in early August and I will let you all know if this company has lived up to its expectations.

Hello all ---

My wife, Kathie, and I bought our first Country Coach in 1988. It was an '83 34' gasser, and, as I recall, we had no problems with it. We had traded up from a '70 Winnebago, and really thought we were "stylin" in our C.C. Since then, we have had a '91 36' Sedona, a '95 38' Magna, and now an '03 42' Magna Resort with the Cat 505 & all available bells & whistles. Personally, I would not buy anything but a C.C. The problems one encounters with them are usually those of components breaking down, not with the coach construction. We have found that, as the coaches have gotten newer and more sophisticated, that the problems have increased at a rapid rate, due to the fact that there is so much high-tech gear in them now. I have to say that, all in all, my favorite coach for traveling and lack of problems has been the '95 Magna. Granted, it's not as good for living for long periods of time as the one we have now, but we aren't full-timers anyway. We live in it for 2 or 3 months in the winter in Palm Springs, but could easily do the same thing with a 5th wheel down there, and buy an older C.C. for travel. I think C.C. quality slipped quite a bit during the National RV period, and I don't think it's come back yet, so I think I's stick to the mid-90s models on the Gillig chassis.
