Hi guys,

It looks like my Hurricane 31H is going back to the factory Frown

They are going to replace the driver's side MH wall (yes, the whole wall!) that developed two bubbles about 6" x 6" in size (or maybe already it came like this).
I took it to my local dealer, they don't fix those problems, so the factory call me about it.
The factory is also going to re-align the bedroom slide out and to fix the dashboard (it bounces like a kangaroo) when going over rough terrain/high-way.

Now, since I live in California and they have to drive the MH over 4,000 miles (round trip), what kind of reimbursement should I get for all those miles they are going to put on my MH.

Should I ask for them to extended the warranty?
or per mile reimbursement?

I'm kind of lost here, but I do believe that the factory should be able to give me something for the lost time, miles, etc.
I know that if I don't ask, they won't give me anything.

What do you guys think?

Vertrix.

They should send a rv transport co.I am sure at this point you are dealing with thor on your own.My dealer handed me a few phone contacts,my request. Its easier cutting out the middleman.Keep us posted of your progress,I have a couple contact there, dont know if they are any good still, but it would be worth a try.

Hi Frankie,

Yes, they're sending an RV Trans. Co.
And yes, I'm dealing directly with Thor.

I'll keep you guys posted.

Any ideas about what kind of reimbursement I should ask for?

OK guys, The hurricane is gone. Frown
Four Winds sent a driver from Horizon Transport, Inc. to pick it up.

My MH is supposed to arrive at the factory on early Friday Sept. 7th.

I'm going to try to see if I can get Four Winds to extend the warranty on it for another year or so in return for all the 4,000 plus miles (round trip) they're going to add to it.

I'll keep you guys posted about when the MH comes back from the factory. Several things they'll be working on:

1. Replace the drivers side wall (bubbles were forming on the fiberglass)
2. Boucing dashboard.
3. Realign the rear bedroom slideout. (wouln't make good contact with the wall at one of the lower corners).

Four Winds says that it would take about one month to fix all that. We'll see what happens.

Good luck. They will extend your warranty, they did for me on a trailer that went back to fourwinds/dutchman. Just call every 3-4 days after the first 2 weeks.Ask for the service advisers phone #.

Hi Frankie,

If you don't mind me asking, why did you sent your trailer back to Four Winds?

And when it came back, were they able to fix to your satisfaction whatever they were supposed to fix?

Thanks, Vertrix.

Okay,I speak the truth. The overall set up was pretty easy to deal with.A contracted driver came and pulled to elkhart.Signed a couple waivers and good to go.The phone contact at Dutchman stunk at first, then a new service guy took over and he was great to deal with.My trailer came back in the time frame they promised, all the original sidewall delamination was fixed and look great. They messed up the slide and a new spot on front started to delaminate. Again they came, took it back and fixed everything this time and did a few extras.I had sideswiped a stop sign Scared and they fixed all of that,so I was happy in the end.I tipped the driver, hopefully he took a little extra care during delivery. The 4 drivers I had were hard working type guys.I saw first had how they glue the filon on the side walls.Tour guide wouldnt tell me about any issues , but I could see where nozzle might get clogged and them not wanting to stop the line to fix. They are all the same with any kind of production.

Hi all,

Just wanted to post about my problem on a 07 32E. I also had bubbles on the drivers side wall. Also had the top of the bedroom slide warped so it would no seal tight against the body. After sitting at the dealership for 5 weeks, nothing was accomplished. I finally got angry with them and a phone call was made to Four Winds. The unit was picked up on July 8th and was to be at the factory for 1 month. As of right now I have not heard a word on what is happening. In the mean time I hired a lawyer and put Four Winds on notice per N.Y. lemon law. This unit has been either at the dealership or the factory for almost 3 months. I did take possession of unit on April 11,07. Never in my life have I bought something brand new with so many problems'

I just hope that everything will be repaired and in working order.

3 whole months , and you are still waiting. You best fly out to the corporate office then to the plant and demand a loner of the same 2007 Hurricane 32 E off the assembly line and then you will see how fast they get it done , once you are piling on the mileage of the loner. Or they have to keep you and your family up at a hotel on FOUR WINDS account . Deal2
Eddie JR don't let them walk all over you.

Have you call Four Winds to find out what's happening with your MH?

I mean, you should be calling them every week to find out what's going on with your coach.
