Gee I sure hope it work out OK. Haven't heard on the news of any Rv dealership in the Jersey Shores around the N.Y area of any shooting or fighting or of rv dealership BURNING DOWN!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe it is still in court hearing down the road months from now.. Frown
All this would have been alot easy if they replaced with a complete new M/H unit. That would have satifield me and others. A flood is a FLOOD and there is laws against selling to public knowing what they sold .
13,750 views and 92 replys WOW, sure puts a black mark on that dealership.

I agree with George.... and it appears there could laws violated here by someone in the chain. But unfortunately, the industry is left to govern itself and to police itself, so as far as anyone being made accountable for this, it will never happen. When the attorneys settle this matter, there will be a non-disclosure agreement signed, and the general public will never know the outcome. Luckily, the common criminal cannot "buy out" of his misdeeds so easily.

Hey everyone. Just happened to stumble onto this discussion and I have something to add.
A few weeks ago I was under the MH and installed stablizers. Guess what I found. THE ENTIRE UNDERCARAGE IS RUSTED. The drive shaft, and even some parts up in the engine area.
My coach is a 2007 Dutchman class C and is made by Four Winds (Thor). My chasis is a 2006 Ford.
The rig is at the dealer here in CA. There is no way that it sat in water at this dealer since we haven't had that kind of rain out here in maybe 10 years. Plus, there really isn't any area for it to pool up at this dealer.
I suppect I'm another victim of this problem. Gonna have them look at the differential while it is there

A few questions if you don't mind... Did you buy the coach in California? Which dealership? If you don't want to mention the dealership, then perhaps what area? Like LA area?

Also, what is the "receive" date and the "offline" date printed on the sticker on the driver's side door jam? The "flooded" coaches were received in 9/07 and delivered to the dealerships couple later.

I just reread your post and saw the year of the chassis...interestingly, Google Earth has some images of the Four Winds neighborhood that were taken sometime in 2006 as I recall, showing several hundred Class C chassis' sitting in a parking lot that appears to have been previously flooded. when I get the exact date of the image, I will post more info.

I'll have to stop by the dealer to get that info. The Rv is there right now. The dealer is Simi RV in Simi Valley, CA. I mentioned the rust issue to them when i brought it in. Problem is that they do not work on the chasis, I'd have to bring it to a Ford dealer.
