The T/S website only provided a phone number to call. I am interested in looking at some models. I am in Northwestern New Jersey.

    Dave,

    Did. Thanks

I like to look at the actual model I am interested in rather than rely on printed floorplans. Hopefully the Atlantic City RV show will have some TS models there or i can find a dealer that has some on the lot.

K-Star, these rigs are not as numerous as, say, a Newmar product, so will be more difficult to find. The RV Shows are great, but I would recommend you go to the factory in Wakarusa and check 'em out yourself by taking a factory tour. They really are good at building you a custom coach and a lot of dealers won't give you this option for obvious reasons. The more info you have, the better you can do at getting just what you want.

I would also check out some dealer websites to glean more info. Cartec is a good one and www.mhsrv.com has a great site and prices. Don't be afraid to buy out of the area....these things are portable, you know....(vbg)

All good info. Thanks. I'm stuck in my brick & mortar mindset still in that I think of wanting a dealer close for service when in fact I won't be in this area much longer.

Thanks for the insight from all.

John, I don't know of many (any?) TS dealers who are very good at maintenance, so I would never consider that to be a determining factor in a motorhome purchase. After you take your rig back to the factory and witness the service experience, you'll not want to go back to your dealership. I suspect others will have similar experiences with their dealers, whether they are Travel Supreme or other.

I have bought 8 of my 9 RV's from the same dealer mainly because of his service department. I may be able to get a better price elsewhere, but this particualr dealer has an awesome service dept. I suppose I'll have to change my mindset once I hit the road as I may not be close to the dealer when service is needed. Especially if I get a TS (which he does not sell).

John, I have not yet met a TS owner who is happy with his dealer....not saying they don't exist, just that I haven't come across anyone. I think the problem pervades the Industry, generally, due to the growing number of RV's and the lack of qualified techs. My thinking is that potential personnel want glamotous jobs and a servie job just doesn't sound sexy enough when selecting a career. If you have found that great service dept., consider yourself fortunate. Care to share with us who that is?

Sure. It is Harold's RV Center in PA. But he doesn't sell TS. Oh well, like I said I will have to adjust my mindset especially since once we are fulltime, chances are we won't be close to them anymore anyway.

John, my dealer tried to tell me how good his service was, but I already knew differently. I told him I wasn't ever going to be in the area to use his service, so he discounted the rig a bit further. If you go with TS, you'll be traveling through northern Indiana on your travels, so it's better to just stop by the factory for service. They do a great job and actually prefer that you do come by...cheaper for them too!

Those with the Travel Supremes I have to say, you have one beautiful rig. I went to the factory for business, and took a tour. Beautiful! They do some job there, from th chasis to the custom cabinetry.

I would say if I was going to buy new again (don't know if I could afford to Frustrated) I would take a ride too the factory. It is unbeleivable how differnt it is from one manuafacturer to another.
