I want to install Speakers near the drivers/ passenger seats. The installed overhead speakers for the radio/surround sound. Seem to far behind and faraway the drivers seat. For good listening while driving. Has anybody ever done this. If so, Where did you install them. And what size speakers did you use. I would also like to install a sub woofer.

Thanks

Royal, glad to see you posted over here. I had some shots of my installation on that other site, but they zapped 'em when they zapped ME!

I can send you some pics if you send me a PM and your Email. Basically, I had my stereo guy put in two 5 in. Bostons in the kickboards, one on the sidewall to the left of the steering wheel column and the other is on the angled panel just to the right of you accelerator pedal. They come on only when the radio is playing, of course, but the factory speakers over your head also work as rear speakers when the radio is on....otherwise they function as rears for the surround sound system. I didn't do a sub, but I'm sure that can be done also. I have an XM radio on the dash which plugs into my dash radio and I have a line running through the dash to the frt. left corner of my dash into which I plug my earbuds when listening to the radio. That way the wife can watch her TV and I can have the financial news on while driving. Keeps us both happy.

Royal welcome to irv2. Wave
Take a look at this LINK scroll past all the links to #2 write up the install of a 5.1 DVD Sys.
It will show you what and how I installed the same system for second time in my present MH.
A sub-woofer is behind the recliner, you may not have same coach but will give an idea of what will have to be done. Sweat Hammer

If you have a 5.1 radio system the same wiring can be adapted for the speakers that would come with it. Nod
If you have any further questions post here and we will help you out.
Enjoy the forums and do post often. Thumbs Up
