I am surprised the seller revealed his reserve price.

From the web page questions and answers: Jul-18-06

Q: This trailer is immaculate! I'm wondering what your reserve is?

A: Thank you for noticing the condition of the trailer. One thing we forgot to mention is both entry doors have new hinges, insulation and seals. We have heard pros and cons on revealing the reserve price, many have asked and we decided to reveal that it is $20,000.00

Just wanted to post some of the description detail for those that are interested,
before ebay removes the ad.

Vintage Fully restored and modernized 1948 Spartanette. Ready to Travel!
Professionally Appraised at $34,000.
The Spartan Aircraft Company from Tulsa Oklahoma started building trailers shortly after the war in 1946. The entire skin and ribs are made from Aircraft grade aluminum with aircraft riveted construction. No sagging here! This is as early 1948 with the round windows in the doors; most have the later square windows. There is a round window in both the curb and street side doors of this trailer.
The entire interior was removed from this trailer to allow rewiring and new insulation to be added. Every surface was then cleaned and refinished before being reinstalled. As you can see this trailer has also been modernized by adding a flush toilet, bathtub, microwave and air conditioner all out of sight. There is even a new refrigerator with a freezer behind the original "GM" ref. door. Even with all the modern additions, when you enter this trailer you step back into 1948. Nothing modern shows. Be a show winner in you new Vintage travel trailer.

Question & Answer

Q: what kind of wood? side walls and ceiling and is it all new or redone. thanks ron
A: It is all Birch. Ceiling is all new and EVERYTHING else is original birch (restored). We were able to match the old birch with custom shellac for the new ceiling. All woodwork has been re-finished.
Q: I just wanted to say that looking at what has been done and how it has been done it is in my opinion not asking too much for your reserve. Surely it is worth much more than that. If I remember right they did not have toilets in those days. In any case it is just perfect. What a nice T. trailer! Most likely the smoothest, most improved Spartan of it's kind that I have seen among the thousands of Spartans I have enjoyed throughout the years. Good luck, Regards, Alexander.

Thank you, Hoverbug for your kind words, however Pat’s brother and his wife did the restoration of this Spartanette. All complements belong to them,

I just posted the link and information for those that may be interested in Vintage RV’s.

Pat took some of the photos when we first saw the trailer at the Tin Can Tourist rally in the spring of 2005 at Camp Dearborn in Milford, Michigan. Pat’s brother and his wife took first place at that spring rally. This was his and her first attempt at a trailer restoration. They just completed the restoration of a Spartan Manor in the spring of 2006.

I know this is a late post to this thread but I've got to say that was one very nice trailer. Glade to see they got more then their reserve price. It's trailers like that, that get me going. I'm wanting to finish our walls in Birch also. If my job is a fraction as nice as that I'll be doing cartwheels. Thanks for the info and pictures. Big Help and ideas!!

I hope to have our at Milford this spring. I've been there twice but not with the trailer yet.
