Hi everyone
For everyone who owns or wants to own an Excel Fifth Wheel by Peterson Industries, the time is fast approaching for the Spring Extravaganza or as it is commonly known, the Excel Club of Colorado Spring Campout. The theme for the weekend will be, Western. So bring out your best Sunday Go to Meeting hats and spurs, make sure you have a little pinch between your cheek and gum, sorry I was carried away. Anyway, make sure you have your Western garb for Saturday night and strut your stuff. There will be special prizes for the best-dressed cowboy or cowgirl. Come join our hosts, the Cordova's--Frank & Darlene and Ray & Evelyn, Joy Sierra and Woody & Pam Whitiker at the Spring 2008 campout that will be held the weekend of May 2-4th in Fort Collins at the Lakeside KOA, formally known as Heron lake. The cost per night at Fort Collins KOA will be $31.95 + 3.7% tax for a total of $33.15. Those rates will be honored for a couple nights before and after. If you haven't made your reservations with Gary Stegner (gtsteg1234 at q dot com) yet, we will wavier the $5000 deposit and allow you to camp for the above rates per night. Seriously, please get with Gary and let him know if you want to attend by April 25, 2008. Have your 5th wheel length, slide numbers and which side the slides are on ready for Gary. The weekend will be: · Friday night get together, starting at 5 or 6 depending on when people show up. Please bring some finger foods to share. · Saturday around 9 a.m. The club will provide breakfast and a short business meeting follows. · Saturday evening starting at 5 or 6 depending on what time the club wants to meet. The club will provide the barbecue beef. Everyone is asked to bring a potluck dish. Everyone whose last name falls between A-F is asked to bring Potato Salad, G-L bring Beans, M-R bring Macaroni Salad and S-Z bring Dessert. It can be anywhere between the famous family recipe and store bought. · Remember Saturday evening you need to get your spurs and boots on with your finest western garb. · Sunday a.m. between 8 and 9 the club will provide a continental breakfast. For the weekend, each couple is asked to bring a gift item worth at least $10. If you want to donate your trailer for the drawing, please see me privately. It should be new but can be homemade. We will sell raffle tickets and the drawings will be held after dinner Saturday evening. ================================================= Then we are booked for Mountain Views at the Rivers Edge for September 19th - 21st. We are very excited about going there as it looks like such a nice park and a place many of us have not been. She told us the group rate would be around $27 for the rally then if you wanted to stay other nites would be about $27. They have wonderful lodge and kitchen facilities. We do need volunteers for hosts (or wagon masters) for the fall campout at Creede. This would be a wonderful opportunity for some new members to step up and get involved. We found that if you participate in helping the club with these weekends you will gain more than what you give. If you have never done it--don't worry there are a lot of us that will help and we meet and plan together and will help you to get things planned and carried out--but we do want to get everyone involved. Don't be shy, we don't bite just nibble. Just getting this out so you can get your calendars marked for those dates. Also, I think there will be a few people bringing the 4 wheelers down for the Creede trip, so if you have a 4 wheeler and want to go riding, bring it down.
