...the fish they caught, their golf game, etc. Just call me "Sewer Man Bob" because I am going to brag about my new sewer gadget. Just love that Sani-Con!

Have used it several times now and would hate to go back to the old 3" hose and gravity flow.

Yep. I bought a new sewer hose for the Dip when I bought it 18 months ago. It's never been out of the box.

In retrospect, I should have used it to thoroughly rinse out the tank before using the Sani-con in case Monaco left some rivits, plastic, or whatever in there. I now know that happens frequently, but I didn't know that then. Cute

Sewey Man Bob,
Ditto on that. I'm spoiled rotton now and that's not from the smell! The only thing to figure out when using it is the width of hole it's going into. Does the spout unscrew from the top half of the spout handle? ie: at the end of the spiral 1 1/2 " hose? Sometimes the sewer hole is too big or too small. I've been able to use it either way but the small hole can make it precarious when propping up the angled spout. I wouldn't want it to fall over during a blackwater flush. Scared

We have this system on our coach and its awesome. The question I have is do you just let your gray fill up then pump it? I have alway left the gray open on other coaches so you could shower without the worry of getting full. With santi con you have to worry about getting full. Am I missing something?

zman,
We always let our grey tank fill up as far as possible to get a good rinse after using the Sani-Con to dump the black tank. If you don't do that, the large hose between the tank dump valve and the Sani-Con will stink really bad. That hose on ours is black and somewhat porous.

Here's a link to the hose smell

Gosh, have had my coach for two years an never used mine yet. Maybe I should next time I dump at a dump station.
Question I have, I always try to flush the black tank when I dump, do you empty the black tank, turn off the Sani-con letting the black tank fill up a bit and then turn Sani-con back on or what?

Also where I dump most times you cannot screw the end of the Sani-con in so it would be just sitting over the sewer holding tank hole. Will the discharge end bounce around if you do not hold down with your hand or foot???

Evil thought I have had is to use the Sani-con system to wash the house of my boss some night.

Thanks

Ed S,
My procedure is to fully dump the blank tank, turn the Sani-Con OFF, open the grey tank valve to let the grey water enter the black tank, close the grey valve, and then turn ON the Sani-Con to empty the black tank again. Once the black tank has been flushed out with the grey water and the spray nozzles that are built in, it's good to go. I then just use the Sani-Con to dump the remaining grey tank contents.

The discharge end of the Sani-Con hose needs to be secured with a large rock, small sand bag, or screwed into the dump pipe.

Hope that helps.
