When leaving the campground do you build up your air pressure and then retract your jacks or retract your jacks and then build up pressure?

This is the procedure I use.
1. Close Slides
2. Retract Jacks
3. Start Engine and let air build up.

I'm assuming you have a Monaco product since you're asking on this forum.

If so, there are many differing opinions about this. I'd recommend you readhere and click on Robin's website for some good info about extending and retracting.

I use the procedure he suggests
1. Turn on engine - Bags start filling
2. Retract jacks
3. Turn off engine
4. Bring slides in

Assuming you are talking about a Monaco product, my manual recommends:
1) Build Air Pressure
2) Retract Jacks
3) Bring in Slides

This is slightly different than "doing the reverse of setting up", as is usually recommended. My recommended setup procedure is:
1)Extend Slides
2)Dump Air Pressure
3)Lower Jacks

I would check your manual to be sure.

When I saw this topic it was listed on the home page so I wasn’t paying attention to the fact that it was listed under the Monaco Owner’s Forum… My Bad! Smile

I would also like to say that after reading Robin_M’s blog on procedures and learning that Monaco uses 3 leveling jacks instead of 4 made even more sense as to Monaco’s recommendations, especially when it comes to retracting or extending slides. The coach frame could twist with a three leg system as opposed to a 4 leg system when doing either with the slides.
