Our 08 Dynasty has both the Alladin scren ( same as BU camera screen) and smaller in dash readout. How do I get the in dash unit to show avg. MPG . It reads instant mpg which is a useless figure. Changes so quickly it is almost impossible to read. I was unable to find that info in my owners manual. Thanks

Moisheh,
I'm not sure you can with either. You may need to go with an add on like VMSpec to give you that capability. I don't have it but those that do have high praise. Very configurable readable. Don't have to wait for the Aladding to scroll to the page you want to see.

We had the VMSPC in our Bounder and I loved it. However it was a mid door model. I am afraid if I try to mount my Jotto desk it will be in the way. I still have all the VMSPC plugs and wiring. I just might test fit the whole thing. I still wonder why they bother giving you instant MPG???

What I did was start a trip in the trip log portion of the Aladdin. It'll keep the average MPG, avg MPH, trip mileage and number of gallons used for you from the time you started the trip. I don't even care if there is a fuel gauge in the coach, I use the Aladdin. I also start a new trip for each tank of fuel and get a good picture of what the last tank of fuel did for men. Give you an idea of what terrain, wind and driving habits do for mileage. I forget where it is but the Aladdin also holds the mileage, number of gallons of fuel, engine hours and avg MPG for the life of the coach. You don't need to hook up any more gadgets. Get the Aladdin manual out and read it carefully, I know< it's Greek to me too in some places but all the info is there.

Maybe you can download one online. Google your make and model and "manual".

Mine had the manual included in the owners package when it was delivered. The dealer tried to cop it but coughed it up when I reminded him there was supposed to be one in the coach at delivery. It took him a day to "find" it but I got it in the end. Mine is a 81/2 X 11 spiral bound book, about 10 pages. I'd have to get it out of the coach to be sure. I've mucked around in the newer coaches and they seem to work a bit differently than mine so I suspect there are some differences. Your coach is new and you should have gotten it with the coach.

WHAT!!! an Aladdin manual. I'm going to call Monaco and ask for an electronic copy. If they send it to me I will ask Rob if he can add it to his site and provide a download link.

Good luck. Everything I've ever tried to get out of them in the way of manuals wiring diagrams etc I've been refered to the parts dept where they'll be happy to charge me for it.
In the meantime I've scanned mine and will send it as an attachment to an e-mail. My address is sqwkifr@aol.com
This book is only for the unit I have and the one in the coach has a different version number on it. There are some page numbers milling but those were blank so I didn't scan them. Also there is a worksheet that was included with the manual that explains how to set the tank levels in systems that use the pressure sensors to determine tank levels.

In the 2005 manual, it says after 50 miles it gives average miles/gal, if I read it correctly
