Hi Araucano,

Well I stayed here for 2 nights on my way from NJ to Fl this past winter! It is not a resort type of campground, but it is a clean, friendly relaxing campground ! It has easy access to I -95, and St Marys area. Hope this helps some and yes I would stop here again.

There are two other state parks in the Savannah area that we have stayed at that are just as nice as Crooked River.

Skidaway Island State Park and Fort McAllister Historic Park, Fort McAllister is closer the Rt. 95.

You can get details on both HERE

I must be tired; St. Mary's,MT and Savannah, GA popped into my mind. I had to read the replies before anything clicked.

Ft. Mcallister is a great park. It's inexpensive, quiet, and still close to Savannah.
If you want to stay at the beach, Rivers end campground is good and it's within walking distance to the beach.
