Lake Jordan was looking good this Memorial Weekend. Water levels are back up to norm after last years drought. Not as many RV's this year as there were tent campers. They were definatly there in large numbers compared to RV's. A telltale sign of the gas crunch. We had agreat time except for one thing. TICKS!!!!!! Scared Man they were bad. Had to stink like bug spray all weekend. Frustrated As I was setting up I had 5 or 6 jump on me. Really really bad. Our poor Foxy got some on her, and we had to yank em off. Poor thing. We use the vet recommended flea and tick treatment but it wasn't enough. Even went to Target and got a spray on bottle and coated her with that, and she still got 3 more on her. Sad But other than that, it was beautiful.

I have no-see-um bites ALL over my legs and arms from this weekend in the Florida Keys.

Camping was great, just those little 'buggers' kept biting at us!

We always go to the Parkers Creek Section of Lake Jordan. Our rig is 35 ft and no problems there. Sites are all back in, but most will accomodate a 40. Just need to look them over for levelness. Some are better and some are worse. 20 bucks a night includes water and power. Only 30 amp power is available as far as I have seen. No sewer on site, but there is a dump station in the park.

Might try this the things that bite. It for mosquitos but it might work for some of the other stuff. I have not tried it so cannot personally vouch for it.

Save this: when you are in Fl. and in the summer time.

Mosquito spray.....

I was at a deck party awhile back, and the bugs were
having a ball biting everyone. A man at the party
sprayed the lawn and deck floor with Listerine, and
the little demons disappeared.
The next year I filled a 4-ounce spray bottle and used
it around my seat whenever I saw mosquitoes. And
voila! That worked as well. It worked at a picnic
where we sprayed the area around the food table, the
children's swing area, and the standing water nearby.
During the summer, I don't leave home without
it.....Pass it on.

OUR FRIEND'S COMMENTS:
I tried this on my deck and around all of my doors. It
works - in fact, it killed them instantly. I bought my
bottle from Target and it cost me $1.89. It really
doesn't take much, and it is a big bottle, too; so it
is not as expensive to use as the can of spray you buy
that doesn't last 30 minutes. So, try this, please. It
will last a couple of days. Don't spray directly on a
wood door (like your front door), but spray around the
frame. Spray around the window frames, and even inside
the dog house

If you try it and it works, let us know. Nod
