Cheri and I will be heading up there next week if the fires don't close the area. They are getting closer but they are getting a handle on it. This camp area has just been added to the reservation list this year. Its a pad table and fire ring. The camp hosts keep it nice they rake the sites and keep it nice. There is water around the area but no real hook ups for a hose that I saw. If you dont want to bring water all the way up the Giant Gas Station in Payson has water. We will get some pictures for the campground review.

Jim, is this the same Ponderosa Campground that is between Payson and Christopher Creek? If so, it is a nice place. We were going to head up there a few weeks ago but the kids got sick....so much for that trip. I thought it was a forest service campground not a state park, but maybe they changed it.
