We're heading out this weekend with 3 Scared of our grandsons to visit the Pacific Northwest. I was stationed at Whidbey Island Naval Air Station for 4 years back in the late 60's and we haven't been back since. Wonder if it has changed? Wink

Plan on being gone three weeks and spending a small fortune on diesel Sad and I'm sure the grandsons will make short work of what little hair that I have remaining. Cheeky

Anyone have any "must see" ideas?

Whidbey Island is many things now including state parks and is also a national historical reserve which is part of North Cascades National Park, which if you get the chance is well worth visiting. Of course there is also Mt Raineer, Olympic NP, Mt ST Helen, and Klondike NP available for visiting as well. And the naval air station is still there as well.
