Love to hear some of the experience's folks had New Year's weekend at campgrounds, rv parks, etc.
We stayed a few days this weekend at The Vineyards on Lake Grapevine, Grapevine, Texas. We enjoyed our stay very much. The park had a resort feel to it with golf carts for rent, sites were spacious with full hook-ups, including several with sewer. There were only a few items that they could improve... 1) Need additional trash dumpsters on the property. Receptacles were far and few. 2) Most of the sites were not level, including the new one’s. 3) Need to trim the trees. The main roads are tight. 4) Although the streets have names, they are not on the property map for easy navigation. Hope everyone had a great and safe New Year’s weekend!! We belong to the North Texas Camping Association and we had our annual Fort Parker State Park trip to Mexia, TX. We came up from the south and got there about the same time a tornado went through the primitive camping area of the park.
Had mostly good weather and a great New Year party. 2001 Itasca Suncruiser 32V 7.4 L Workhorse 2007 Saturn Vue - V6 Blue Ox Aventa LX |

We took a few days for a rest at a local state park here in southern Oregon, Valley of the Rogue. We enjoyed 4 days of sunshine. There was no noise or problem New Year's Eve. This state park is open year round and has spacious sites with full hookups and wi-fi available. At $16 off season, it is a bargain. We saw lots of travelers who pulled in for one night before heading over the pass into California to warmer climates.

WOW!! We heard about the tornado as we live in North Dallas. I’m sure glad to hear you’re ok. It must have been very unnerving to be so close to such an extraordinary event. It appeared to be an F2 with maximum winds of 132 miles an hour with widespread damage. Again, happy to hear you’re safe!!
