We are up in the Sierras every weekend escaping the summer heat of Fresno Sweat. Wishon Village http://www.wishonvillage.com/index.html is a great place to get away. There is fishing, hiking, 4 wheeling, or just kicking back and looking for the shooting stars!

If you are up that way on a weekend, look us up. We are usually in site # 24.

What is the temperature there? Your coach looks great all patriotic for the 4th of July!!
I have had to work in my son's high school band's fireworks booth and today went home with heat exhaustion. High temp today in Las Vegas was 115. There is an excessive heat warning for this week, tomorrow it is going to be even hotter, so I am glad today was the 4th. We have no electricity in the booth, so no fans or portable coolers in the booth. It has been miserable. We are leaving for our family vacation up to Montana and Northern Idaho to cool off for three weeks. Can't wait!!

Tomorrow Fresno will be 111 Sweat, Wishon will be 84 Big Grin.

115 in Vegas Sweat Sweat Sunshine Sweat.

We used to spend $$$ on fireworks when our daughter was in school. We always felt for the people who ran the fireworks stands. All plywood and little or no ventilation. Our hats are off to you for volunteering Big Hand

Tom and Patty,
great choice for getting away from Fresno heat! I used to camp at Huntington Lake and fish at Edison Lake every summer. Are there any good sites up there for 40 footers?
we have been spending our weekends in Merced for the last 7 weeks Sweat (we bought an apartment building up there and it needs rehab so we make 4 day weekend trips up there.. almost done Big Grin)
got the coach in for some last minute work before heading for the Newport Rally Aug 7

Wishon Village has easy sites for a 40 footer. We have even seen 45 footers, but there are fewer choices of sites. The owners are great. Come on up!! We would be about 3 1/2 hours from Merced by coach.

A 40 foot site in Huntington would be hard to find. Sites are first come for the most part around the lake. You can reserve specific length sites, but not a specific number.

If you would like, come up for a day. Only 2 1/2 hours by car. We are out past Dinkey Creek. 28 miles east of Shaver Lake.

Here is a sky view picture of Wishon Village. The RV's are those small dots. Mountains and trees all around.

It is time for us to return to the Sierra's and Wishon Village. There is still a little bit of snow in the campground. We should have a very good wild flower display this year, and the lakes will be close to full.

Anyone near Fresno should drive on up and enjoy a week or weekend. Rent a boat, fish, hike or sit back and look at the deep blue sky, and the night stars that seem to wrap around your head as you look at them. The picture is of site #1.

It is one of the many...God's Country.

You know Hugh and Cyndi, that a steak tastes even BETTER in the mountains Yum. Then there is Patty's secret mashed potatoe recipe Yum, and her cole slaw salad Yum. Maybe grilled corn on the cob Yum Hungry Wait, corn and potatoes....that's two starches No No

Since I'm married to a college student Big Grin, we will be up there only on the weekends. However, Patty has the first Friday of every month off too.

We will be taking the coach up on the 16th of May, and stay that weekend. Then the three day Memorial weekend, and every weekend thereafter. Keeping the coach in dry storage during the week. July 11th, 12th, and 13th we will boondock in a meadow. They are booked that weekend for the Fishing Derby.

Our only concern this year is Kayla's ability to handle the higher elevation now that she is 16. We hope she will adjust, or we will be back in the valley in the heat Sweat

We made it up the mountain once again. The weekend before Memorial Day, we had temps in the lower 80's. Very pleasant.

Memorial day we awoke to this.

Your making me jealous! Gonna hit 102 here today. Fuel prices keeping us from getting away on any "distance" trips
