I was thinking the same thing.

holmesaw, I wonder if I may ask you a question about the design of your 05 Sun Voyager dash area. The reason is we want to order a Suntek dash cover (2 beagles love the view) and our
07 Sunvoyager has the dash computer work station. Suntek shows a pattern for an 05.

I could send you a picture and if you could
let me know if it is similar to your 05 Dash
it would be a big help.fiveputt1@bellsouth.net

I have been extremely busy as we have just finished our Grand opening of our new dealership. It was a glorious success. I now have to deliver about 45 units in the next couple of weeks. I hope everyone is doing ok. Take care.

Not much going on here in CT. We recently returned from a trip to Argentina (didn't drive!). Checked out the rig at the storage lot the other day and all is well. The month of April we're heading to AL and plan to stay for a couple of weeks at Miller's Creek COE. After that...who knows? This will be our first "stay" in AL, except for 2 nights in Ozark a couple of years ago. As an aside, I tend to forget this site as I always check gsowners. Charlie

Ok. I'll post my $.02. While I realize this is better suited to the MH problem area, I thought I would post it here to see if maybe Mike or others had some suggestions.

I was cleaning out the coach with the DW after our last trip and commented on how I couldn't wait to have the windshield people back to replace the gasket locking strip they forgot. I wondered where the wind noise was coming from but got back to cleaning. Roll Eyes

My wife was wiping down the dash area and exclaimed "I found something...but you are NOT going to be happy about it." Frown

Sure enough, the new right windshield glass had separated from the new factory gasket. There was about an 1/8" gap running from the lower inside corner up about 22 inches or so and both the left and right "new" glass pieces had the lower curved edges of the gasket "pulling out" so that the gasket now had a "V" or "trough" shaped expanse between the outer surface and the glass. Eek5

BTW, the company that worked with me to get the glass replaced under our Comprehensive Ins. portion is shipping a NEW gasket and appropriate locking strip to the glass installers since the last installers also sliced the gasket with their razor blade. No No

Could the new glass be too small, wrong curvature, the factory opening too big, the new factory gasket wrong etc? This front cap is similar/the same as the later 2000-2001 millenium edition and a host of other GS's.

When the glass was replaced, the install looked great so WTF? (pardon my French) Anyone

I would suggest that you ask the installers when they remove the glass to check to see if your suspecion is correct. It could be that with out the locking strip the gasket could do what you are seeing. Good luck and keep us updated on this issue.

The old locking strip was used as a temp. measure. I looked at it with the FIL and he suggested I peel the outer gasket edge up and measure/look to see if the glass is contacting the upper seam evenly across the top. This could indicate that the glass may have not been set correctly. If it is cockeyed, then the glass could be rotated to correct it.

The curved lower sides are also bulging the gasket a bit and it appears that the gasket may not have been seated correctly.

I will call GS and the people who shipped the glass (Duncan Systems)to see who made it and if there could be a production error since I have seen curved laminated glass made wrong (i.e. '57 Chevy front and rear windshields.

The problem is I don't have the old glass to compare and I don't think they measured it. They just put it in.

Just joined the sight. Never knew about IRV2, but I just read about you guys in another forum. So you will be reading my two cents every once in a while. We are not full timers, but we should be since we spend about 70% of the time on our coach.
