Here is a friendly resident. BTW, it is illegal to feed the natural inhabitants and you can be fined up to $10K and/or jailed. Sorry Mr. Squirrel, you’re on your own.

Here are some pics of a former “artists” cliff house, now a museum.

Here is a pic that shows the North Rim Lodge.

Here is one of a hole bored in a portion of a wall. This was created so that the trail could pass through. The mule trips that are advertised use this trail to get to the bottom of the canyon. It takes at least one full day to get to the bottom by mule, sometimes two if by foot and another full day minimum to get back up. BTW, the mule rides/trips are booked up over a year in advance.

Here is one of some large weathered “caves” in the north canyon face.

This is the El Tovar lodge on the South Rim. This building was supposedly built backwards from its original designed orientation so balconies and terraces had to be added to the upper rooms to give them views of the canyon as previously designed.

This is the adjacent adobe.

Here are some pics of the restored rail cars and steam locomotive that they use. There is a diesel engine pulling/pushing behind JIC.

Here are some pics of the “train robbery” that occurred on the trip back down.

…and finally a shot of some carved structural posts at a building in downtown Williams, AZ.

The rest of the trip was spent just trying to get home. Again, don’t forget to rent and watch the movie RV with Robin Williams. I think I may write and submit a script for the sequel. Jester

Update on the DW's neck issues. The original pain is still there...meaning me... Roll Eyes ... however, the rest is all but gone. We added a memory foam topper to the MH bed for now with a Sleep Number bed to follow soon. Big Grin She now uses a memory foam pillow and we purchased a massaging cushion and neck pillow for the MH so she now rides in comfort. Some of the pain is apparently caused by the shape of the new MH seats so those will be changed out at a later time. For now, the other measures are doing the trick.
