A recent study by Harvard University found that the average American walks about 900 miles a year.

Another study by the American Medical Association found that Americans drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a year.

This means, on average, Americans get about 41 miles to the gallon.

Kind of makes me proud to be an American..

Wow - I haven't had that much alcohol in my lifetime, let alone in one year! Someone out there is drinking WAY more than their share. Eeeek

That being said, I also haven't walked NEARLY that many miles in my lifetime, either. Maybe my mileage is in the range --- I understand actual mileage may vary. Anyone
