Hello,
I’m interested in buying a 2004 Coleman bayside elite camper. The current owner had a water infiltration this winter caused by a bike rack fixed on the roof. The leak is now fixed but my questions are in regards of interior construction. The ceiling panel is rippled in two corners. -The foam/insulation in the roof, what material would that be? Is the material water resistant or is it soft insulation causing water to stay locked inside not releasing humidity and eventually causing mould? -Is the roof framing in wood, aluminium or other? Please specify. -Can we replace ceiling panels or do you simply stick a new ceiling panel on top? -What are the chances that water/humidity would stay in the ceiling? I greatly appreciate all the information you can offer. TY Mike |

Mike; Howdy and welcome to iRV2.com
I realy don't know the answers to your questions we owned a 99 Bayside but never had a roof leak. I would suggest you contact Fleetword, I believe they still made the Bayside in 2004 and ask their folks your questions they would be the expert source on this and could also tell you what to check exactly for any other possible problems. Good luck. Jim (SSG US Army Ret.) and Cheri (TSG Phx ANG Ret.) Mesa ,AZ 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 HD Mega Cab Diesel and 2005 Honda Goldwing, 2006 35' Dune Chaser 5th Wheel See Our Camping Pictures |
