Bob,

We may want to stay at Branson until Monday morning the 23rd. If I called to extend our stay would they have my name and site# so I wouldn't have to move?

Bob, you must make any arrangements other than the rally with the campground directly. Hasn't been an issue,it's just the way they like to do it...One less thing for me to worry about too...LOL!!

I would call and ask to speak to Michelle as she's the rally coordinator.

Wow, $435 is cheap. I checked on doing it all with all of my crew and it is about $900. That is why I have not paid in full yet. Need to save up a few more pennies first. LOL Well, that and I need to find out when we are moving and when dh will be deploying. May not need to pay for him. It may work out that we will be going to the rally on the way to our new duty station. Don't know when the move is yet. We were told it would be this week and then last week were told to wait. Now they say July. We should know something definitive next week.

I am just hoping that it all works out so I can meet you all.

Sandra, it is usual and customary for campgrounds such as ABC in Branson to solicit discount ticket prices for the benefit of groups that have rallies at their campgrounds.

In the case of ABC, they even have a "dedicated rally coordinator" that handles most everything as well.

This may be the reason you are seeing a disparity in the pricing.

Sandra,

Having served back in the 70's I'm amazed at all the technological advancements that the military has made. But one thing has remained constant and always will. Hurry up and wait.

Hope things work out where your entire family can attend. AIRBORNE !!!

You've got that right Bob R, Hurry up and wait!!! I have just decided to go with the flow and not worry about it.

And Bob G, that $900 is with the rally pricing through you guys. And yes, the prices offered through the rally are much cheaper than we would pay if we were going on our own. The reason our price is so much higher is that there are 7 of us going. So that $900, to me, is a great deal. We normally spend about $1500 on a family vacation, $2500 if it is Disney World. So, $900 is cheap to us.

The cost of a family vacation is one reason we bought a camper to begin with. With our crew, 2 hotels rooms were required, and that is at least $200/nt. In our camper we only spend about $15 per night at a military CG and $30-50 at others. We camped at FW at WDW for $38/nt!!! Some campgrounds are charging $5-10 a kid now though, we avoid those. Some are even limiting the number on a site to 6. Most will waive that though after talking to me. I think they just want to keep people from having parties or something.

Anyway, I am way off topic. Just pointing out that this rally is a great deal for us and we can't wait to attend and meet everyone.

Keep your fingers crossed about our PCS.

Wow, what a great testimonial for our rally efforts! Cheeky Party

Hey members, how about a few more attendees to fill those extra sites Bob got for us? Let's fill it up!

Richard
