Well yes the rally has taken and will take a lot of time. Actually I have been working on this since Jan. of 2005. Richard (Hitchhiker) has been right there with me the whole time. But I KNEW what I was getting into because I have done them before. (Several weekend rallies and the 2002 National)

Jim is working his tush off with the raffle stuff. Sandy (Madam Boomer) has done and is doing several things that are "Under the Radar" right now.

OF course Bill (Warpath) is right in the thick of things too.

Tom "Sunny" turned on his charm and helped a LOT getting the campground contract signed.

At "Rally Time" there are several others who have stepped up to greet yall and show ya to your sites. Others to do a number of other things.

I could not do this WITHOUT all the help/support other members provide.

But everything will be all worth it when we see the forum members having fun at the rally.

By the way........

The 2007 Rally contracts have been signed already. Yall will have to wait until the yearly meeting in TN to find out when, where and who is the "Chief in charge" for that one. Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin (Of course I will be involved, but I AIN'T THE CHIEF for that one. There is a "New Chief in town" for the 2007.)

Hey Don....

Great answer! Keep those $'s coming in...It helps us all! Got a suggestion....Everyone wants a door prize so have everyone donate one.Everyone has something around their RV that they really don't need so have them wrap it up and give it in as a door prize. Then everyone gets something. Now to prevent anyone from wrapping up last night's beer cans, set some simple rules like: Item must be clean, useable and in good condition.I did this wih a fishing tournament once and it was a great success. Everyone cleaned out their tackle box. You'll be pleasantly surprised with what you get!And everyone becomes a winnner! One person's junk is another's treasure. Opening the prize can be humorous for everyone!

Junior - Great idea! Let's do it in addition to whatever else is going on...kinda like a freebie white elephant sale. I would suggest some kind of dollar value minimum so that one person doesn't end up with a ball point pen and another ends up with like new air compressor. Also could consider male/female designators for the prizes. The rally keeps getting better....

I am always amazed at the curtesy exhibited on this site. The thoughtful and gracious responses to questions is highly indicative of the quality of people running this site. I am very happy that I will get to meet you folks this year!
The "honey-doer" is getting the rig pulled over to the driveway tomorrow so I can start packing.
