Does anyone tow this vehicle sucessfully 4 wheels down without modification? Thinking of purchasing one. It is on Motorhome list, but dealer says Toyoto recommends a dolly. Joan

Here is a quote from Toyota Dingy Towing Guide Flat-Towing Capability and Cautions for 2002-2009 All Models

“As a rule of thumb, any Toyota or Scion with a manual transmission can be towed behind a motor home. Any Toyota vehicle with an automatic transmission or any body-on-frame truck-based vehicle cannot.” The exceptions to the rule that a manual transmission Toyota vehicle cannot be towed are the following: 2008 Camry, FJ Cruiser and Tacoma. So according to Toyota the Matrix with a manual transmission can be towed 4 down. I'm also going to include from Toyota.com the page that shows what can and cannot be towed with 4 wheels down:
Is it possible to tow my Toyota with all four wheels on the ground?
