Awhhh, I took the old one off and put the new one on once I got it. Exactly when did the site go public. I registered the second time in August 2000. I had registered before this, but something was messed up and I had to redo mu registration.

Makes me an old timer? Aeh

That was the time frame when I was researching fulltilt RVs and the fulltiming life style.

Now I got one and I am one. Big Hand

I am proud to say I have one of the original blue gray stickers. Sent to me by Warpath himself, if I re-call correctly. I was one of the first members of the Winnebago list on Yahoo.com with "Ghost", then he merged with IRV2.com. My date on this forum was Oct 2000

Back in early 2000, shortly after my camping buddy, the late Ralph Hamilton, told me about the fledgling Irv2.com, I posted a message.

The message said something like . . ."My wife and I are Baby Boomers living in North Central Florida. We're looking for others to camp with in this part of the world. Anyone out there?"

The replies started coming in. I seem to remember Lou Mitchell kind of taking charge and in short order we had organized a rally - all through iRV2. We had a great time.

The Florida Boomers were born.

In no time at all others from different parts of the country were forming their own chapters.

I haven't been active in the Boomers for a few years now. But, I check iRV2.com nearly every day.

It's awesome seeing the guys coming back to post with Year 2000 registration date stamps. I still have 1 legacy sticker and it's going stay in my archives.

I hope to make some future history by hosting the 10th National Rally in year 2011. Make sure you guys keep a date open, OK? Big Grin

It was shortly after I signed on that the group now know as the Texas Boomers started to post about a first rally. The first rally was scheduled and four couples showed up. The group was:
Sandy and Rusty
Jim and Kitty
Marc and Marsha
and Ken and Susan.

We all became friends there and started to plan the next rally. You see where it went from there.......
