Leslye, there are very many used units out there now that would suit your needs. A unit that is only a year or so old will have greatly depreciated and it will probably have all the bugs worked out. This is the way we went over six years ago and our coach has been like your Trail Lite; no problems. I would recommend you narrow the search down of the brands you have mentioned (good choices) and then depending on if it is through a dealer or individual as to how to have it checked out before purchase. Let us know

One of my favorite floorplans was a 8367 yellowstone Gulfstream gas before I got all twisted with this fred or gas issue, any pointers ? I have no issues with used at all, the only thing someone brought up was that the prices of the new one's have become as low as used due to the economy but I like the idea of someone else working out the bugs. I would hug them if I could find them !

Hi Leslye,
Okay, now we're getting somewhere. Going up to a 35 or 36 footer will not limit your choices for a good campsite too much. If your used to going into sites that would better accomodate tenters or smaller rv's, that will change. Believe me, you'll find a lot more sites than we do, ie; 41 footer.

Now IMHO, I think that a front engine deisel would be a great way to go. Yes, they are more expensive than gassers but they will pull more weight comfortably up hills. The fuel is more expensive than gas but it will take you further. I had a workhorse on a 35 foot Brave and the best I ever got was around 8.5 mpg. Now with a 41 footer rear engined deisel I get 8.5 to 10 mpg according to the geographics of the area. Most of the MH manufacturers now make coaches with the fred. I think your choices in your previous post were pretty good. BTW, I've been in some of those Simbas, and they were pretty darn nice.

Good Luck!
