Have for the past couple of months been cking out Rv's, more confused than ever. Just wondering if there is a review site on-line, with actual people dealing with the newer issues of the newer rv's since so many changes have been made in the last couple of years. I can purchase a consumer report book on rv's but was looking for more one on one info

Leslye, do you want to give us a little more information on what kind of RV you are interested in and how many million you want to spend?

I believe you're in the right place already! Just review the forums after you determine what you're will to spend for a new or used RV.

Hi Leslye,
Well, you've come to the right place for a one on one, or two, or three, or......

Actually, you need to think of all of the things that you would want in an rv whether it's a trailer, 5th wheel trailer, or motorized vehicle, ie; class B, class C, class A or diesel pusher. What kind of room inside and what kind of storage outside of your rv. Mannnn,....there are a LOT of things to consider. Are you a weekend camper or long time traveler/live-in rver? Only you know and likely your opinions will change as life as an rver go on.

I do however have a website that I visited continuously that have new and used rv's from individuals and dealers that tell you what is in each rv. I learned a lot just by viewing the rv's that were for sale. The website is called RVTrader.com. I've spent hours on end in this sight until my eyes practically bled. Really, I highly recommend that site along with irv2.com and you will be filled to the brim with information on your next purchase.

Good luck and happy internet surfing.

lbeaver...
Leslye..welcome to iRV2! Party As AKBrick has said...you have come to the right place to gather one on many information because this forum happens to have the friendliest and most knowledgeable RV owners around. Nod
One of your best bets right now is to start reading as much as you can in the correct forum..for example...if you are considering a Class A motorhome - then read through the Owners' Corner to get an idea of what others have and how they like them...then ask some semi-specific questions...
That is just a suggestion ...but it will give you ideas and also what dealers everyone trusts.

Again...welcome to iRV2..we hope you visit, read and post often. Big Hand

Keep one thing in mind when reviewing forums, whether here or other sites. Not very many people post "my vehicle is wonderful, absolutely no problems". My point being, you will read posts from people having problems that you may begin to get the wrong idea of any given manufacturer. This holds true about anything. So remember that what you are reading is a cross section of an entire user group. I am not trying to lessen, or make light of anyone else's problems, just that you need to enter with an open mind.

I frequent a Ford Diesel website and if I went only with the feelings obtained from that website I would never buy a Ford truck. But I have to keep in mind that there were about 20-30 posters having problems and I know there are more the 20-30 Ford trucks on the road.

As Mike stated, if you post how you plan to enjoy your RV, we can help direct you thru the quagmire of RV types and Manufacturers. But read thru The Owners Corner to see what kind of issues others have had.

Well, I guess I could have been a little more specific. I have been rving since 2001 in my very entry level 25' Class A Trailite R-Vision. Am having separation anxiety because lucky me who didn't have a clue to what she was doing in 2001 got very lucky. My rv not once has been to a shop for any reason other than an oil change, no kidding. It has a workhorse engine and all the amenities any lay person such as myself could have asked for. My bread box as I have always called it has done me a wonderful job seeing as to how I leave every Sun. afternoon and return every Wed. or Thurs. for at least the past 2 years consistently. Therefore, my anxiousness is because I am contemplating moving up to a 36' and worried my behind will be left on the side of the road or some spontaneous outing which I'm notorious for, won't accomodate me,(like maybe a state park with an affordable view). The stories I've heard are crazy. I can do any concrete heaven and love that too but I'm not big on plan, plans, if you know what I mean. Structures great but plans fall through. Back to the original ?, I thought maybe anywhere from a 32' to a 36' Class A, comfortable amenities and maybe a few things that all you have experienced that I wouldn't know to ask about. Thanks for everyone's input, lbeaver

Leslye, in addition to the above site recommended by AKBrick, you may wish to stop by your friendly library and take a look at some the issues of Motor Home Magazine. They will have many articles on motor home related issues. They also have a pretty good classified in the back part of the magazine. Happy Hunting Smile Smile Smile

I actually receive that magazine and it has been helpful. I think I'm leaning toward Allegro Bay, Newmar or Monaco. A local even mentioned a Safari Simba. Now I'm wondering about fred or gas, good grief, thanks for the info, Les
