Anyone have any experience with the Maxxair or Maxxair-II. They seem like a good idea but I’ve not spoken to anyone who uses them. I’m going to the Oregon coast in a couple of weeks and these sound like a good way to get some air circulation without worrying about rain getting in the TT. I think I’ll give the Maxxair-II a try but was looking for comments from those who have used these.

We had the Max Air on our Desert Fox, and they worked great on in front and one in back helped moved air when we were on the road. We only have one on our new rig, because we only have one vent thats not a fantastic vent with the auto raise cover. They must be all the way open before the fan starts and I am not sure I want to remove the cover permanent to change to the cover.

I have a Maxxair cover over a Fantastic vent and it works fine.

The Fantastic Fan starts before it's cover hits the Maxxair.

I'm sure there is some loss of air flow, but it's not enough to outweigh the benefit of using the fan in the rain.

In the fall and in the spring of the year or during nice weather they are worth their weightin gold. They will keep the rig cool with very little draw on the batteries and I use them on the road instead of A/C. Even in the rain.

We are also users of the Maxxair covers. I wouldn't own a rig without them. When our rig is at home waiting to be used again, we can leave the roof vents open all the time to avoid the temperature inside from going through the roof like it would if it was closed up.

We also love the Maxxair covers. Years ago while visiting the EAA Museum in Oshkosh, WI, we left a roof vent in our TT open to ensure good ventilation for two small dogs in the TT. There was a frog-strangler rain storm that trapped us inside the museum for about 30 minutes. Came back to a partially flooded RV with two dogs stomping around in 1" of water .

Added a Maxxair right after that and have used them on every RV we've had since.

We've had them on the last 4RVs. Sort of a no brainer, if you happpen to forget the vent being open, not to worry, might lose some cool air in the summer or warmth. A little hard to install with the Fantastic Fan power vent but might take 30min longer. Well worth the $.

The Maxx/Air covers were one of my first accessory purchases after buying the TT back in 2000. A couple of years later, I replaced my bathroom Maxx/Air cover with a Turbo/Maxx fan.

With these items installed, I rarely close my roof vents. The Turbo/Maxx fan does an excellent job of removing moisture from my bathroom and, at higher speeds, works like an attic fan to draw fresh air through the entire rig. The model I purchased is extremely versatile as it has controls for intake/exhaust, a variable speed control and a thermostat.

I've got one on each of my three vents. They were among my first accessories.
