I have been looking at the JT Strong Stablizers versus the PlugItRight Stablizer. The JTs are more expensive than the latter.
Wondering if anyone has any experience with either system and their thoughts on which one is the better? |

I put a pair of the exact thing sold by Camping World (see link below), and overall have been satisfied. I think that I paid $269.00 on sale through the Presidents Club. I have a 29' TT and it did "wiggle" quite a bit. I did however, see someone at a campground put a stabilizer jack under the frame on each side between the wheels. I never thought of that, might could have saved $269.00. After all, I thought that the wheels were the cause of most movement.

Thanks. The wheel stablizers do not resolve the movement action even though they were advertised to do so. I think at best they are brakes/blocks only.

Sorry,
I forgot to put in the other reply that I have the "Eliminator" (The J.T. equivalent). They are actually on sale at C.W. Here is a better link directly to them at C.W. http://www.campingworld.com/browse/skus/index.cfm?skunum=35782&src=SRQB Rodney |

glend, you're correct. The wheel locks do lock the wheels and stop them from moving. Watch your wheels while having someone walk from one end to the other in your trailer and you'll see why they do work.

And it is in such twilight that we all must be aware of change in the air - however slight - lest we become unwitting victims of darkness."___Supreme Court Justice William Douglas |

We, too, have the JT's and have been very happy with the way they work. I'm sure the PlugItRight Stabilizers work, too, but we decided on the JT's because they looked beefier. YMMV.

Thanks to all for the comments. All most positive. I have made my order for the stablizers. Now to get them installed will be the next task.
Thanks for the confirmation assistance. |
