My pin on my Tor Tahoe TranSport 33TB is showing signs of pretty serious wear and it is not perfectly square either, just slightly off center as you look at it from the front.
I searched the forums and only found the reference to a TrailAir air ride setup and Northern Tool. I can't afford the air ride setup and nothing at Northern Tool. I have a 2000 mile trip coming up in mid June and Now I am starting to worry about it. The back of the pin is worn about .25" where the hitch lock plate holds it in place. Not being straight up and down bothers me too, Not sure how this could of happened or why. Anyway, WHERE do I find replacement standard pin boxes? All my googling has not turned up anything. Any leads would be appreciated! ..Jay ..Jay Monmouth, Oregon 02 Tahoe 33' Toyhauler 5'er 2002 F350 7.3 PSD CC 8' bed |

Jay,
You might try to find someone who has replaced their pin box with a Mohr-ryde, TrailAir, etc. The original pin box is removed when they do that & most owners keep them. Is there a Tahoe Owners forum where you could post your question? On my previous 5th wheel, the frame cracked which put the pin box out of alighment. Might want to check that also. Not being straight up and down might be a problem with the structure that supports the pin box to the frame. You might want to look for broken or bent structure in the overhang area. You might have to remove some fiberglass/or metel to see it.

Try this list of Rv salvage yards and surplus sales..

I just took off A Leland #7920 Pinbox from A 2005 fifthwheel. I replaced it with A Trailair # L08 . You could go to the trailair site and look at the specs of this pinbox and see if it would fit your trailer. I would be willing to sell it,if it fit. Good Luck. Durango |

Your frame is probably made by Lippert. If it is, you can contact them and get a replacement pin box. There is a Lippert facility in Pendleton next to one of the factories so the stuff is probably local.
