maybe someone out there has an answer.

While camping last week, I noticed that many times when turning the gas switch for the HWH on the red reset light did not come on. Other time it did then extinguish when the burner lit. Thus my question.

If the water in the HWH is already hot, will that reset light cycle thru even though the burner does not need to ignite?

As many of you know, last week was a 90+ degree week in most of the country. In fact, where I was (2006 Rally) it was close to 100 degrees three of the days. I noticed this issue with my HWH. However, with that heat there is a good chance that the water never cooled down during the course of the day. Thus when I turned the HWH gas switch on, there may not have been a need to heat the water. It seems that it worked normally when I turned the HWH on in the morning. It was later in the day it did not work as I expected. I don't want to drag the trailer over to the dealer if there is no need to.

I think this might be normal. I know that on mine this light will blink any time the burner lights so if the burner does not come on because the water is hot the light may not light.

mine will stay lighted when it first starts then it goes off until it relights again
and there is a small led in the lower corner that remains lighted.
