To be honest, I'd be scared to death to ride that road if any snow was anywhere around. That road also has a lot of fog on it if you go early in the a.m. We waited til it lifted before we got on it. One thing about the mountains, I hate riding in the fog and avoid it if all possible. But the ride during clear weather is fantastic!! I really do love the area very much.

Rhonda:

WNC is indeed beautiful. Where we live in SW VA is really nice, but the scenery in WNC is tops. We used to love going to the High Country area (Boone, Linville, Asheboro) years ago when we had the travel trailer. Haven't been back there since getting the motorhome but need to do that. The waterfall country around Cashiers is breathtaking.

Looks like you and your DH are having a great time....fine looking Harley! Thanks for the pics.

Rhonda,
Glad to hear you like WNC as this is where I call home in a little town just before the TN border. We moved here from NJ and love it especially the season changes. The Cherohala is best seen in the fall when the leaves turn and then there is Nantahala Gorge and white water rafting not to mention Great Smoky Mtn Nat'l park. There is sure a lot of things to see and do here. We have 3 campgrounds here in Murphy and another one being built.
Enjoy God's land as often as you can.
