I have not known Fan-Tastic Vent to go "cheap" on ordering components. All the pieces of the kit appear to be of the highest quality.

I will call TS on Monday to ask about frequency assignments.

I agree 100%, but hi-tech isn't exactly their cup of tea. Did you get a response from them on this?

My bad, I've been busy getting ready for my next outing - departing this Sunday. I'll get on it. In the mean time perhaps you can call TS at Fantastic and ask them about it if I don't get to it for the next few days.

I have 2 Fantastic vent Fans in my rig. One in the lavatory area does not have a cover so the cover opens all the way and vents at maximum CFM. The galley's FVF has the cover shown and I can keep the fan working if needed in just about any type of rain storm unless there's a lot of wind. If so I do get some droplets inside the coach but not much.

I am vertically challenged, i.e short, and I hated having to take out a step stool every time I wanted to open/close the living room vent, or adjust the fan speed! I had seen on an earlier thread about this upgrade, and tech support at Fantastic gave me a phone number in Florida where I could order the upgrade. I was able to pay by credit card, $160 including shipping from Florida to California, and it came in about a week. It was not all that difficult to install. We wanted to mount the wall cradle on the power management system wall above the ceiling light switches, but there was not enough clearance to take the remote out of the cradle to change the batteries. The lower wood framing was in the way. Locating it below the light switch made it too accessible for the little curious fingers of our grandchildren. So we put it on the wall above the vanity/desk area in the bedroom. We just got back from our first trip after it was installed and I love it !

We're on the road right now and giving our new 6600 a real workout.

The remote control works very well. I can open and close the vent and setup any one of 14 speeds sitting on the couch. It's great to be able to set the fan speed so you can hear the TV. Big Grin

I'm a little late on reading this (I wish my posts were logged somewhere and updated when active cuz I miss things). Anyway, I'll call FF on Monday and ask the question.

My guess is that they're all the same frequency & coding that relies on numb receivers and ultra low power tx to keep from ventilating the whole campground at once.

Although it might be kind of fun to play a little "ding-dong ditch" walking around the CG with the remote. Action
