I am looking for a unit that is simple to use,since i am not very good at using this stuff.I would like to have one that has voice instuctions,campgrounds,gas stations,walmarts etc.and traffic reroute.

Hope this helps --- not too technical of a comparison:

The first Garmin GPS device I bought was a StreetPilot 2620 about three years ago. Great device, great directions, but not VERY easy to use.

In June, I bought a Garmin Nuvi 750 --- I think it is about as good as the StreetPilot, but MUCH easier to use for the type of things you mention - basically what's referred to as "points of interest."

It's taking me a little bit to become accustomed to the map display on the Nuvi - but I did use the StreetPilot for three years.

All-in-all, I think you might like a Nuvi. I got mine at Sams for $299, a very good price. Last I saw, they still had them for that.

My son has a Nuvi 350, it doesn't have quite as many bells and whistles as the 750, but very nice. A friend has a Nuvi 200W, even more simple and less $$. You'll have to see what fits your needs.

We also have the Nuvi 350 and find it to be easy to use. You can go to this link POI Factory and download additional points of interest for adding to your GPS. If you start running into a storage space problem, certain help files in languages other than English can be deleted to give you more room.. Be sure and read the documentation that comes with whatever you buy.

Check with Darrell Goheen at www.tvnav.com. He's an RVer that started selling Garmin products a few years ago. A very straight talker and honest person, as well as extremely knowledgeable re Garmin products.

I believe the Garmin nuvi 200W or 250W would be the best entry level GPS...they are easy to use and have a great amount of POI's. The cost of these had dropped significantly.

Check out the Garmin 7200.

It has a 7" screen, is easy to read, works very well and can provide live traffic (in cities that have road sensors) and live weather, packaged with XM music (for a subscription fee).

Best of all, they're being significantly discounted from the $1000+ prices just a year or so ago. I've seen them at Costco and on eBay for ~$500.
