Hello all,
We have purchased the parts to do the 2 speed fan mod and I am checking out the wiring connector. When I pulled the Deutsch connector apart I found that the "N" location already has a terminal in it connected to an orange wire in the chassis harness. Can anyone who has done the modification enlighten me if this pin would be used for some other purpose? The motor home does not have the 2 speed fan now. Thanks. I have also posted this on the Newmar Owners Forum. I'll post my findings for anyone else that might need the information.
I called Spartan and tried to get some information about our ECM connector pin "N" and the tech told me to get the printed identification information that is on the wire on that pin before he could get me any information. I tore into the split loom and dug the tan wire out and found "SP Variable" printed on it. I then talked to Wendy at Spartan and she found out that our chassis was partially prepped for the 2 speed fan. They installed a short harness that terminates into a 6 term. Weatherpack connector located on the passenger's side under the air pump and it has a ground in it also. I will just have to run wires from the priority valve solenoid to that connector and not mess with the Deutsch connector any more. I will still have to have the ECM reprogrammed by Cummins, though. |
