Is the dealership reporting no stored codes from the repeated stalling problem? Seems like there should be some scan codes.

Just change the fuel pump. The only way a dealer can detect it is if it's not working. As you know it is a off and on issue.

I'm gonna throw this in even though the vehicle that had the problem wasn't even a Ford!
After trying all the Ford guys' suggestions, if the problem still exists, you might consider this. We had the same symptoms with my wife's car. The engine would shut off just like you had killed the ignition - no sputtering, surging or anything. All the accessories and gauges were still working/reading just fine. It wouldn't restart until the key was switched off, then back to on and start. At that point, it would start immediately and run like nothing ever happened - until it quit again. The problem was a cracked motherboard in the ECU. We have a 2004 "C"E450 V10. While on our way to Las Vegas Engine started running rough, about a 110 degrees. Pulled to get gas filled up and would no re-start. Called Ford, they towed to the nearest dealership too(replace the fuel pump)this seemed a common problem in this model. this was 4th of July weekend. Job completed and have not had a problem in 6K miles back to Florida, Ford knows. Yours sound like a failing pump, mine just died out right.

Anyone know if this is still an issue with the late-in-the-year 2006 chassis? My new 2007 dutchmen has a 2006 V-10.

i've had a problem with losing power to the engine but not cutting out entirely.
this is what i discovered about my loss of power - it always happened when it was raining or damp out. turns out, when the airfilter gets moist, it restricts airflow to the engine. when you give it gas, it sucks on the wet airfilter and suffocates itself. in one of my motorhomes, i have the Banks system with air filter. i've not had this problem with the Banks filter, only the stock size from Fram.
