Sorry to see the lack of response to this one - maybe nobody has bought one yet. I know there are bitter complaints about fuel consumption on the redesigned 2008 Ford 6.4L diesels but I haven't heard anything one way or the other about gas V10's. No reason to expect any change from previous years on the V10, though.

Would not think there would be much improvement.
Think more would depened on the style coach body, load, how it is driven and where. We get 8.5 TO 9 with a toad. Have made 10 in the flat lands of FL. and IL. without a toad. Tom & Bonnie 2008 Winnebago Aspect 29H (No Such Thing as a B+) Crossville, TN Toad Pontiac G6 |

We had a 2004 Chatteau E-450 chassis, pulling a 99 jeep wrangler. Great chassis, we took a 11k mile around the country once in a lifetime trip. Flat lands saw 8.8mpg, in the rockies saw 6.5mpg or less.
Tire pressure is criticle, load is criticle and most of all speed. Power up coast down, this is about all you can do. I did install a K&N air filter and used "mobil 1" synthetic oil did see a very SLIGHT improvement in acceleration and a lowering in engine temp. If nothing else had better engine response. best of luck Mike MIke & Karen 2006 6340 Endura "Super C" Duramax Diesel Blue Ox 99 Jeep TJ [Trail Proven] |

I have a 2004 Minnie Winnie 30 footer and toad, a 2005 Explorer and get around 8.5 mpg and, I have a moderate lead foot (: I also tow in TN which has some faily steep grades (power is lacking for a 14K lb plus coach, but gets it done. I also tandem tow with a 1K lb jet ski and the mpg is the same. I can't say what the mpg is without towing, as I have always had a toad behind me. I'm thinking no matter the engine, your mpg is going to be in the range of 8-10 mpg given the tranny and rear end ratios.

I get 8 to 9 mpg, with 9 being the best and rare, in a Winnie 325F. I lose about a mile per gallon towing a Jeep Liberty..We only have 7000 miles on this 2007 model and hope gas mileage improves with age...later lee

I am also curious about the mileage of a 2008. I have a 2006 Winnebago 25F and get around 8mpg. No toad.

Howdy!
I brought home a new 08 Jayco Greyhawk Sport 25DB class 'c', did approx a 150 mile trip home, varied speeds from 55 to one brief spurt at 80mph, (just to see if it would do it), and I must say, there was lots of power to spare! Anyway, mostly in the 65 to 75 range, steady ascent through winding canyons, up and over the mountains to my home (6700 ft. elv.) used 20 gallons premium, I figure 7.5 mpg so far, this is not accurate yet, the next calculation will be. Now, mine was advertised as a 2008, but the dealer said it was a late 2007 chassis with a 2008 Jayco rv built on it. They had the new cab style right next to mine, but not in the colors I liked, after a short discussion with the dealer, I got this one for much less When I re-fueled, the wife read the owners manual and told me to fuel with 87 octaine, we had 88, so I figure I'm ok. Now the manual says 2007 E-450, but the warning tag tied on the turn signal arm tells me about the new exhaust component changes for 2008...Who knows?
