my first rv..any comment's..... took it on a trip in the mountains of NC ..ran well ..had a plug wire fire less than a 100miles from home...fixed and went on with no problem.. the 350 engine..i had to go to 2nd gear on the long climbs..normal i would assume...??? thus far my wife and i love it!! were going 12 miles from home to camp this weekend... be safe !! and god bless.

Yes, second gear would be normal for a long climb. Watch the engine heat and a transmission temperature gauge would be a smart addition so you can monitor that too. Overheating transmissions is a common problem in this sort of rig (not specific to the brand). I'd change the transmission fluid unless you have evidence it was down recently. Use a synthetic ATF - it holds up under heat much better than natural petroleum based ATF.

One big thing is to not abuse the engine. The old 350 cid engine is a work horse but does have its limits. The ones that I have seen with trouble are the folks that expect the engine to run the thing at 70 plus mph all of the time. Best to slow it down and enjoy life.

Our old trailer has you beat....it is a few years older.
