The guys wonder why we ladies love rving.

Regardless of the size of your rig, it takes only a short time to clean things and be on your way for a day of fun. The home you escape from takes hours of hard work to keep clean. When we are on the road I get such a kick out of cleaning in 20 minutes. We travel with two small dogs and a parrot.

I don't care where you stay on the road you know that you are bringing in sand,grass and whatever ALL THE TIME. I hate to walk on my floors when they are dirty or sandy. It drives me nuts Well !!!!!!!! I discovered a faster way to sweep

When we get back from a trip I clean the coach from top to bottom, sweep, mop, polish. I do the works. When we get ready to leave, I throw a few things from the house in the coach and off we go. Yesterday, I am packing up the coach again to head to Maine and my floors are filthy from the grass being tracked in (we mow weekly in Miami due to the rain in the summer). When all of a sudden I REMEMBERED The Roomba Robot floor sweeper that I use in my house. Didn't take me toooooooo long to get that thing in the DS and put it to work. Bet you can't guess what is traveling with us on this trip? More time to play now.

I have used my robot for many years inside the house and it's great. There is a new one now that even mops for you, but I haven't heard anything about that one or how good it is. My robot did a great job cleaning the carpet and the tile floors, and only took a short time.

If you guys are looking for a great gift for the DW, I would highly recommend this item for her.

I am truly the happy camper now. I can wash, dry and put away cloths within 4 feet and clean the floors at the same time. What a life

We tried using our Roomba Discovery in our TT but it had difficulty where the carpet meets the non-carpeted areas. If the Roomba approached the carpet at an angle, it was usually OK. But head-on, the bumper would depress enough to make it think there was an object in the way. It also couldn't vacuum in the slide-out because ours isn't flush with the floor.

We have this same issue at home when Roomba vacuums our family room. It's a hardwood floor with two area rugs. We remove the small one, but the large one (about 5' x 9') we leave down. To complicate matters, Two ends of this rug also have a fringe that we tuck under the rug. This aggravates the problem because it makes these two sides of the rug even higher in relation to the floor.

One word of advice: Be sure you keep the sensors that detect when Roomba is near a "drop off" clean or it might take a tumble down the steps.

Our Roomba’s work well at the home but not to well in the DS simply because we have too many objects in a small amount of space. We can clean the DS in about an hour including sanitizing the toilet, wiping the counter and table tops and a quick vacuum and mop of the floors. We set the Roomba’s to auto every Sunday in the home for under the beds, etc. and sometimes for the main rooms of the house.

+1 for the Roomba being a gift from the clean-god,

We've had our Roomba Discovery almost four years now. It's main task is vacuuming the living, dining, and family rooms. I'm amazed that it always manages to find its way back to the charging station when the battery gets low.

However, Roombas require you to be a little more dilligent about maintenance than your "garden variety" vacuum cleaner. About every couple of months, I pull the brush out of it and remove all the crap that's become entwined in it and remove other accumulated dust/dirt in its inner workings as well.

My Robot worked its way from Miami to Maine and NOOOOOOOOOOOO ProblemsSSSSSSSSSSS. Did a great job. Now it is happy to clean the stick house in Maine. I really think it wants to get back on the road as much as we do.

I was thinking about taking pictures of it as we stop at points of interest. You know like that travel gnome? But then I would have to give it a name. Maybe Robbie the robot?

And yes, I strip down the brushes and clean all the important parts. It will last longer if you do. I have had mine for so many years and it's in perfect condition. I would never live without another one. Like a microwave oven, once you have one you can't live without one.

We weren't very imaginative. I made a name tag of "Rosie" (after the Jetson's robot) using my old Dymo Labelmaker and affixed it to ours.

Great idea, my husband has a label maker so, it is official that my roomba will be called Robbie.

how many people with doggies can leave their roomba roaming?
not that a lot of dogs don't consider a full size vacuum as a good chase, but that cute little roomba is more then most red blooded dogs can allow
