Thank you all for your responses. We are looking to trade out our 5r for one that is 3k lighter. We are getting a written statement from Toyota. Trying to do the right thing-even though others don't always do the same IE "rv dealers". I look forward to getting past this so that we can enjoy rv'ing. Will let you know how it goes.

You will appreciate towing ease at the end of each day. When towing is a chore, you end each day tense and feeling drained. Towing well within your tow vehicle's limits allows you to arrive at days end feeling relaxed and ready for fun.

"As nightfall does not come at once, neither does oppression. In both instances there is a twilight where everything remains seemingly unchanged. And it is in such twilight that we all must be aware of change in the air - however slight - lest we become unwitting victims of darkness."___Supreme Court Justice William Douglas

A lot of us started with a smaller tow vehicle and soon discovered that towing was a chore. Once we upgraded to a larger vehicle, life was easier.

I wish that we would have has the access to the internet information when we were starting out.
