Banks & Diesel Performance make E brakes for your truck. As far as towing without one ,I have done the cross country trip with 2 different trailers and have had no problems. Just set the cruise control and let the computer do the driving. For the most part it will maintain speed up & down the hills. I hav also done the Grapevien coming back up the West coast without one.
I'm NOT saying don't get one but you don't have to get one unless you really want to.
