What do you think of the Bridgestone Revo tires for a 3500 Mega Cab, SRW, 6sp auto, 4x4, 6.7 cummings towing a Big Horn 3670RL fifth wheel. I know the truck comes with Michelins but need something with a little more traction and softer ride.

Are the Bridgestones rated for equivalent or more load than the OEM Michelins? Same load range (E, I suspect)? Soft sidewalls aren't a plus for a tow vehicle.

Bridgestones would be E rated...the Michelins just don't have "an agressive tread" for the snow when not towing.

I am running REVO's now and for the last 9 years have run Michelin LXT At , they stopped making them last summer so I tried the revo. They work good , dont stay ballanced very good and dont last as long as I had hoped. Back to the Michelin LTX AT-2 its a new tread design much more aggessive the the stock tread on your dodge , I think you will be happest with them if your only complaint is aggressive tread. I have a nice set of 265-75-16 E revos I would be willing to sell you so I can test the new Michelin tire......

Bridgestones came on my truck and now at 23,000 they need replacing. I usually get 40,000 from my tires but not this time. I am looking into Michelins. I had a lot of trouble wiith Goodyear blowing out on the trailer and changed to Michelins and had no trouble since.

I got 65K out of OEM Goodyears on the PU listed below. About 80% was hauling or towing something.

I have 265/75/16 load range E Revos on my '05 2500HD mounted on stock rims. Wet traction is great, original tread depth was 15/32, and after 12,000 miles are at 13/32. I consider this to be excellent mileage. They have a little hum on the highway, but I don't find it objectionable. Handling both unloaded and pulling the trailer is excellent. I carry 55 lbs in the front all the time, and 45 lbs in the rear when empty and 65 lbs when loaded. I have never found a reason to put 80 lbs in them, as it reduces the tire footprint too much.

I just got a set of Michelins LTX A/T today and went up to a 265 from the 245. I kept the old tires and it looks like the new tires are two inches higher. I am a little worried about his as the fiver rode level with the old tires. I cannot lower the hitch anymore as the trailer may hit the bed of the truck. I have not hooked up yet but I am taking the fiver in next week for service. I will let you know after I tow it.

My last set of Michelins (LTX M/S) balanced correctly, and rotated every 15K went 94,000 miles. They worked fine in the little bit of snow I got into in Mass some time ago.

You want a softer ride? You are going to get a squisher towing ride. Personally I would get a set of Michelins.
